The new website

Postby Skopos » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:06 am

If anyone encounters any errors or something looks out of place please post here with as much detail as possible (any error message, what browser etc), the site is still a work-in-progress so there will be one or two bugs to iron out. That's assuming the ability to reply or even read this is working!

My Profile (top right)

Here you can amend your details, change your password, set your forum avatar and sig. You can also add some colour to your Roster Profile with accomplishments and service record (coming later). Please be careful with these as they are a set-once option, if you make a mistake you'll have to post here and receive a facepalm.

The accomplishments are things that you might have achieved in the games WDD has been involved in, they have no bearing on clan activity - it's just something to show off on your profile. You do not have to have been part of WDD when you got these accomplishments.

The Service Record however, requires that you actively played that game with clan members during your time in the clan. If you played it before you joined WDD and haven't played it with the clan, DO NOT tick the box.

Comments from other people can be managed from this section too. When another member posts a comment about you on your Roster Profile it will appear here until you either accept or reject it. Accepting a comment will post it on your Roster Profile, rejecting a comment will simply delete it, the person who wrote it won't be informed.

To post comments for other members please see their Roster Profile, you will only be able to comment once and so-far not be able to edit. If your comment is rejected you will then be free to write a new one for that person.

A lot of the editing code outside of the forum hasn't been written yet so please try not to make mistakes, but if you do just post here.

Game Rosters

The service record is now up and running (see 'My Profile').

Just to clarify to everyone that the 'Service Record' in your profile is for games that you played WITH WDD MEMBERS during the time the game was active and you were a WDD member. To appear on a game roster, find the game on the games section and hit 'Apply for roster' - the OIC for that game will then be able to add you to that roster.

If you are an OIC you can access your OIC tools from 'My Profile' at the top right after you log in.

Avatars, sigs and Roster Picture

You can set up your forum avatar and sig from 'My Profile' - Forum Profile. For your avatar you can simply enter the address of where your chosen image is stored (photobucket, Tinypic). If you want to include images in your signature please put the location between IMG tags like this:

<IMG SRC=' imageaddresshere '>

If you need help with this, drop a message here.

The image that appears on your Roster Profile has to be set by the admin and be stored on our server. You can email the picture you want on your profile to admin@wddgamers.com or if its online somewhere drop a link to it here.

I love the site, the only issue I have is with old eyes. I have to zoom to 150% to be able to read the forums. Really like the look and colors though, great job!!!

Geez Z....

I have old eyes also... are you looking at it on your phone? LOL Is it the colors of the font or the size that you need assistance with? By the way Z... this area that his post is in, is called the "guest" section.... this is an area for unregistered guest to post things... it is open to the public...

Have updated the opening post...

Zandric - you mentioned you had trouble reading the text, which browser are you using?

And does the font show like this or is it more 'standard'

Good to hear Zandric!

I.E was too limiting to be the base of testing. So rather than make everything look average we said 'Screw I.E' and made the other browser's better. There's a note about Internet Explorer at the bottom of the page if anyone is using it. Shame on those that do

I use IE9 most of the time due to work (it has been proven to be one of the most secure browsers out) but I do use Firefox most of the time for other things.....
